About Fog of World
Fog of World brings the "fog of war" idea from strategy games to the real world map. The whole world starts covered in fog, and the app records your GPS track in the background as you walk, drive or fly, clearing the fog wherever you have actually been. Over years it becomes a detailed, personal map of your life's travels. Made by Ollix, it has been around since 2012 and is still updated.
Features
- Background tracking: records your routes even when the app isn't open.
- Stats and badges: see how much of each continent, country and territory you have explored, level up and unlock achievements.
- Track editing: correct GPS drift and fill in gaps with a few taps.
- Import: bring in existing tracks from GPX or KML files.
- Multiple databases and snapshots: keep separate track databases, merge them, and back up or restore with snapshots.
- Sync: sync and back up via Dropbox, Google Drive, OneDrive or Nutstore.
- Works in China too: handles the GCJ-02 coordinate system, so tracks line up correctly both inside and outside mainland China.
