HOL Guard sits on your own machine beside Claude Code, Codex and Cursor and acts as a checkpoint: risky shell commands, secret file reads, MCP tool calls and package installs wait for you to approve or block them. The local tool is free and open source (Apache-2.0); Guard Cloud is an optional paid add-on. Get started with: pipx install hol-guard && hol-guard init.
