About Traccar

Traccar is a free and open-source GPS tracking system, released under the Apache 2.0 license and developed since 2009. You run the Java-based Traccar Server on Windows, Linux or a cloud VPS, connect your GPS trackers, and follow them from a browser or the mobile apps. If you'd rather not run a server, the team also sells managed hosting.

Features

  • Huge device support: more than 200 GPS protocols and over 2,000 tracker models work out of the box, from cheap trackers to professional fleet hardware.
  • Live tracking: see devices in real time on road or satellite maps, along with sensor readings and other data.
  • Alerts: push or email notifications for geofence crossings, harsh driving, fuel drops and maintenance.
  • Reports: trips, stops, charts, summaries and route history, exportable to Excel.
  • Apps: Traccar Manager (Android/iOS) for viewing your devices, and Traccar Client, which turns a phone into a GPS tracker.
  • For developers: works with any major SQL database and exposes a REST API.

Who it's for

Fleet operators, GPS tracking resellers who want their own white-label platform, and individuals tracking their own cars, bikes or family devices.

Pricing

The software is always free and fully open source. Optional managed hosting starts at US$9.95/month, with higher tiers for businesses.
