Adobe Firefly

Adobe Firefly is Adobe's generative AI app. In one place you can generate images, video clips, sound effects, music and speech from text or reference images, and edit what you already have with tools such as Generative Fill, Generative Expand and Prompt to Edit.

Models

Firefly offers two kinds of models:

• Adobe's own Firefly models for images, video, audio and vectors. Adobe says they are trained on licensed Adobe Stock content and public-domain material, not on users' content, and are safe for commercial use.
• Partner models from Google, OpenAI, Runway, Luma AI, ElevenLabs, Black Forest Labs (FLUX) and others, for when you want a different look.

Generated files carry Content Credentials, metadata showing that AI was used.

• Firefly Boards: an infinite canvas for mood boards and storyboards that teams edit together.
• Translation of audio and video into more than 20 languages while keeping the speaker's voice.
• Prompts in more than 100 languages.
• Results go straight into Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere, Lightroom and Adobe Express.
• Web app, plus mobile apps for iOS and Android.

Pricing

As of October 2026 there is a free plan with a daily allowance of generations. Paid Firefly and Creative Cloud plans add a monthly pool of generative credits.

Who it's for

Designers, marketers and video creators who already work in Adobe apps, and anyone who needs AI images they can safely use commercially.
