关于 LeanCast
LeanCast is a free, open-source (Apache-2.0) DLNA/UPnP cast receiver for Android TV and Fire TV. Open any video app with a cast button — Bilibili, iQiyi, Tencent Video, Youku, Quark and others — pick LeanCast as the receiver, and the stream plays fullscreen with hardware decoding. There are no ads, no accounts and no cloud calls; everything stays on your LAN.
Features
- Standard MediaRenderer: UPnP AV MediaRenderer:1 with SSDP discovery and SOAP control (AVTransport, RenderingControl, ConnectionManager).
- Hardware decoding via Media3/ExoPlayer: HLS (
.m3u8), progressive MP4, Matroska, HTTP-FLV (best effort), plus HTTP↔HTTPS redirects and cleartext LAN URLs. - TV-native controls: OK to pause/resume, hold ◀/▶ for an escalating seek ladder (10 s → 5 min), Back to exit; on-screen HUD with progress, title and seek feedback in English or Chinese.
- Lean and private: ~70 MB RAM idle, ~5 MB APK, zero analytics and no non-LAN network calls. Pure-Kotlin with no native libs, so one APK covers
armeabi-v7a,arm64-v8a,x86andx86_64. - Renamable receiver and optional start-on-boot; UI language switches between 简体中文 and English.
Platforms
Verified on Amazon Fire TV / Fire TV Stick. Expected to work on certified Android TV / Google TV boxes (Sony, TCL, NVIDIA Shield, Chromecast with Google TV, and similar). Sideloading-only Chinese smart TVs are experimental. Not for Tizen, webOS or HarmonyOS TVs.
Install
Build with JDK 17+ and Android SDK (./gradlew assembleDebug), or grab a release APK from GitHub Releases, then sideload with adb. Launch once so the receiver service starts and appears in every DLNA sender's device list.
